pharmacology:

Has a long history of medicinal origins from various plants of the genus Epimedium. Li Shizhen said in his “Compendium of Materia Medica” that he had the effect of “promoting vitality, strengthening bones, making up waist and knees, and strengthening the heart.” Modern pharmacological experimental studies have shown that epimedium can increase blood flow to the heart and brain, promote hematopoietic function, immune function and bone metabolism, and have anti-aging and anti-tumor effects.
