Description

Geniposide is the principal iridoid glycoside​ of gardenia fruit, structurally a cyclopenta[c]pyran with C1-β-D-glucoside (water-soluble glycoside, unlike most Taima flavonoids/triterpenes which are H₂O-insoluble — Geniposide is H₂O-soluble, like Ectoine, different handling).
